Terroir
Calyptra Vineyards & Winery are located in the foothills of Coya, in the Alto Cachapoal Valley. It is 27 km east of Rancagua.
A moderate Mediterranean climate provides heavy rainfall and low temperatures with occasional snowfalls in winter, which contrast with summers of warm days with afternoons of mountain winds that find their escape through the Cachapoal River basin.
All Calyptra wines are made with their own “Single Vineyard” grapes.
All Calyptra Wines are made with our own grapes “Single Vineyard”.
Located in a privileged location: in the Alto Cachapoal Valley.
Almost 1000 meters away. above sea level, the 44 hectares planted with Calyptra become the easternmost vineyard in Chile.
The field has a southern exposure, with gentle slopes adjacent to the northern bank of the Cachapoal River. Another natural limit that provides conditions of geographical isolation to the land.
These natural barriers are vital for the absence of aggressive pests or diseases and promote a generous territory for our great wines.

A deal between heaven, soil and man
Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah grow on 7 alluvial calcareous and colluvial terraces.
These soils originated by the Andean massifs and by fluvial-glacial material that descends from the mountain range generated lands with an abundant amount of rock and low fertility.
To optimize its performance, we use a sustainable agricultural system that respects these unique conditions, using natural products, harmoniously intervening in an organic vineyard, where the teamwork between man and nature leads to the designation “High altitude wines” to a Upper level.
