About Us
In 1989, Dr. José Zarhi acquired the 80-hectare farm ‘Santa Cruz de Coya’. Upon learning that around 1920 the land had been generous with vine plantations, he decided to begin a winemaking adventure, replacing fruit trees with Chardonnay vines.
After a soil and climatic conditions study, the field’s characteristics proved to be optimal for producing high-end wines.
That's how Calyptra began
